AI Review Request Text to Send After a Job

The best time to ask for a review is the same day the job wraps up, with a short text that thanks the customer by name, mentions the job, and includes your review link. Use the prompt below to have AI write it in your voice, then save the result as a reusable template.

Copy-paste prompt
Write three versions of a short text (under 250 characters each) I can send a customer the day I finish a job.
Business: [COMPANY], a [TRADE] company. Customer: [FIRST NAME]. Job: [WHAT WE DID].
Thank them by name, mention the job in a few words, and ask if they'd leave an honest review at [REVIEW LINK].
Version 1: warm and simple. Version 2: mentions the tech by name, [TECH NAME]. Version 3: very short.
No exclamation points, no emojis, and don't offer anything in exchange for the review.

Make it a habit

  1. Run the prompt once and pick the version you like best.
  2. Save it in your phone's notes or text shortcuts with [FIRST NAME] and [JOB] left as blanks.
  3. Send it before you leave the driveway or the same evening.
  4. Only ask customers who were happy. If something went wrong, call them first and fix it.

Keep it clean

  • Ask for an honest review, not a five-star one.
  • Don't offer discounts, gift cards, or anything else in exchange. Review sites and consumer-protection rules generally don't allow incentivized reviews.

Texting rule: only text people who gave you their number and agreed to hear from you (for example, they asked for a quote or booked a job). Honor STOP right away. When in doubt, email or call. General information, not legal advice.
